The rate you pay will depend on the type of insurance you get and any endorsements you add to your policy. However, when compared it’s clear that Progressive offers the best discount for law enforcement, both in terms of raw dollars saved and in percentage, at a touch over 13%. On the other hand, AAA offers the lowest discount at just under 3%.

The cheapest car insurance for law enforcement can be found by looking for discounts for police and first responders. In addition to those listed above, some major companies that offer those types of discounts include:
California CasualtyLiability or loss resulting from an accident. is one company with a specific police officer car insurance plan, and the company offers the Fallen Hero/Fallen Officer Survivor Benefit for free. This benefit is paid to your family if you die in the line of duty. California Casualty is the only company that offers a benefit like this.
USAA may be known for insuring military members and their families, but the company does not offer the same services to police officers. However, if you were in the military and become a police officer after an honorable discharge, you can maintain your policies with the company.
